The China International Exhibition on Label Printing Technology
Sino Label – A Renowned Exhibition Based in South China with Influence Nationwide
With the development of the economy in China, especially in the food, cosmetic, detergent, pharmaceutical, toiletries, home appliances, supermarket and logistics industries are growing in high speed. There are currently over 4,000 enterprises engaged in label printing in China. In 2009, production value of label printing industry reached RMB 14 billion (USD2.1 billion), production volume 1.8 billion square meters; In 2010, production value amounted RMB 16 billion (USD2.5 billion), production volume RMB 2.1 billion square meters, a 20% growth compared to the previous year.
From a global market perspective, the business opportunities and potential of China’s label printing industry has enormous room for development.
The Pearl River Delta (incorporating Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macau) has been widely regarded as “the World’s manufacturing base”. At the same time, the region is the largest region for China’s printing and packaging industries. Guangdong Province alone has approximately 18,000 printing-related enterprises among which around 1,500 engage in narrow web applications. Production in Guangdong Province and Hong Kong accounts for 67% of the total production of the country’s label printing industry. As the importance of South China region continues to increase as a world’s printing centre, the contribution of the region to the country’s printing production will continuously grow.
